My Inspiration
GROWING UP IN THE GIRL SCOUTS I LEARNED MANY THINGS. ONE OF THEM WAS THE LOVE OF NATURE AND MY SURROUNDINGS. I ATTENDED CAMP NORTHWOODS IN NORTHERN WISCONSIN FOR EIGHT SUMMERS AND WORKED THERE AS A COUNSELOR FOR TWO SUMMERS. THOSE EXPERIENCES HAVE BEEN ONE OF MY MOST TREASURED MEMORIES. I SPENT MY TIME AT CAMP SWIMING, CANOEING, CAMPING, HORSEBACK RIDING, HIKING, SINGING, MAKING LIFELONG FRIENDS AND ENJOYING THE AMAZING BEAUTY OF THE WILDERNESS. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS DURING THAT TIME WAS ON THE LOOSE WRITTEN BY JUDITH KELLER IN 1971. JUDITH CAPTURES MY FEELINGS ON LIFE IN HER WORDS. IT LEAVES ME WITH PEACE, LOVE AND HAPPINESS.
