Growing up in rural Wisconsin, I developed a deep connection to nature that continues to shape my work as a photographer today. My father instilled in me a love and respect for the outdoors, and my time in the Girl Scouts further nurtured that passion. Summers were spent camping, canoeing, hiking, swimming, horseback riding and running wild and free—experiences that helped me develop a keen eye for the natural beauty surrounding me. Those early adventures sparked a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and the desire to capture meaningful moments through photography.
More than 25 years ago, I took my first photography class, and it was love at first click. What started as curiosity quickly became a career path. In 2002, I earned my degree in Photography just as digital photography was beginning to transform the industry. Since then, I have spent decades developing my craft while photographing weddings, families, and children, along with the landscapes and wildlife that inspire me most.
Over the years, my photography journey has taken me thousands of miles across the United States and around the world. From scenic mountain vistas to quiet moments between loved ones, I am drawn to capturing images that tell authentic stories. My work blends natural light, emotion, and a deep appreciation for the environment to create photographs that feel timeless and genuine.
Today I’m proud to call Montana home once again, a place that first captured my heart during my college years. Living in this extraordinary landscape provides endless inspiration for my work as a Montana photographer. The rugged mountains, open skies, and abundant wildlife offer a perfect backdrop for landscape photography, wildlife photography, and outdoor portrait sessions.
Photography, for me, is about more than just taking pictures—it’s about preserving memories and celebrating the beauty of the world around us. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, a growing family, or the quiet majesty of nature, my goal is always to create images that tell a story and stand the test of time.
My passion for nature, wildlife, and outdoor photography continues to inspire every image I capture. Through my lens, I hope to share the beauty of this remarkable world and help others preserve the moments that matter most.
